A medicine-themed event evaluating medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, communication, teamwork and problem-solving across four progressive rounds — from theory and emergency response to healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Rounds
How it unfolds
- 01
Round 1 — Inoculation
Foundational medical knowledge and clinical understanding via 10 case-based multiple-choice questions, each carrying 10 marks.
- 02
Round 2 — Triage
Evaluate simulated patients and determine appropriate triage categories while demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and immediate management.
- 03
Round 3 — Code Blue
Emergency response, teamwork and clinical decision-making under pressure. Teams of two First Responders and a Doctor work two patients — identify symptoms, diagnose, justify, and recommend treatment.
- 04
Round 4 — MedMarket
Develop a marketing strategy for an assigned healthcare product: branding, identity, audience, pricing, USP, campaign, healthcare impact, commercial viability and pitch — before a panel of judges.
Rules & Regulations
Event rules for Metamorphosis
- 01
Round 1 (Inoculation): each team answers 10 clinical scenario-based MCQs, 10 marks each — no discussion with other teams during this round.
- 02
Round 2 (Triage): patients must be assigned a triage category with reasoning; unexplained categorizations will not be credited.
- 03
Round 3 (Code Blue): each team must consist of two First Responders and one Doctor as defined — First Responders identify symptoms and relay findings, the Doctor gives the final diagnosis and treatment plan. Role-swapping mid-round is not allowed.
- 04
Round 3 findings and diagnoses must be delivered within the time given per patient case.
- 05
Round 4 (MedMarket): the marketing proposal must cover product identity, USP, marketing campaign, commercial viability, and be presented within the given time slot.
- 06
External medical/marketing research beyond the material provided is not permitted.
Universal Rules
Apply to every event.
These rules are binding across all ten events at Plutus 2026. No exceptions.
- 01
No AI tools permitted. Use of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any generative AI tool — for research, content generation, calculations, or decision-making — at any stage of any round is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification of the team.
- 02
Judges' and organizers' decisions are final and binding on all matters, including scoring, disqualification, and rule interpretation.
- 03
Reporting time is mandatory. Teams arriving late to their round may lose time from their allotted slot or forfeit their turn, at the organizers' discretion.
- 04
Original work only — any pitch, script, design, or presentation must be created live/on-site during the event unless a round explicitly allows pre-prepared material.
- 05
Respectful conduct is required toward judges, volunteers, and other teams; unsporting behavior, verbal abuse, or sabotage of another team's materials leads to disqualification.
- 06
Substitutions are not allowed once a team is registered, except in case of a genuine emergency and with prior organizer approval.
